Juneteenth Freedom Celebration
Sponsorship Letter

May 2022
Greetings,

The Black Chief Officers Committee-St. Louis (BCOC-STL) in association with the National Black Chief
Officers, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is hosting our second annual Juneteenth Freedom Luncheon
on June 18, 2022, at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel. We seek your support as a key stakeholder in
the community to fund scholarships used to train and certify Emergency Medical Technicians,
Paramedics, Firefighters, and 911 Dispatchers. Join us with our many other partners as we celebrate
Juneteenth and support our first responders.

There is currently a vast shortage of paramedics in our country and Missouri is on the leading edge of
that shortage as our state has 35% less of the workforce needed, with the national average at 25%.
We are a national network of passionate fire service professionals taking collaborative action through
education, professional networking, volunteer opportunities, and youth mentoring to grow and diversify
chief officer ranks and improve community relations.

The theme for our Juneteenth Celebration is “Get in Good Trouble, Change must be Intentional”
With your help, our intentional change is to aid our community by providing men and women with
careers that serve their community; First Responder.

Thank you in advance for the support and we look forward to partnering with your organization. Please
reference the Sponsorship Levels and Celebration Itinerary attached. To become a scholarship sponsor,
make a donation, or for further information and please visit our website: www.blackchiefstl.com

Warm Regards,
